Principles of Reiki, from Newsletter 5, November 2008.
Reiki is a lifestyle for some. The Five Principles of Reiki according to the Canadian
Reiki Association are:
   Just for today, I will not anger
   Just for today, I will not worry
   Just for today, I will be grateful
   Just for today, I will work hard on myself
   Just for today, I will be kind to others
Try meditating on these thoughts before you begin your day, and as you end the
day you can reflect on how you did and what you could do or how you could react
differently to change things for the better in the future.

As a Reiki Master and Registered Teacher with the Canadian Reiki Association, I
have many people asking me about Reiki (pronounced Ray Key). I’ll explain it the
best I can, but I still tell people, the best way to know it is to try it yourself! It is a
feeling thing, not a knowing thing.
1.        What is Reiki?
Basically it is energy work that promotes relaxation which in turn leads to better
health in mind/body/spirit.
2.        What do you mean by energy work?
Reiki is a Japanese word for ‘life force energy’ – that which gives all living things
life. You might know it as Chi, Ki, Prana, or spirit; you may think of it in association
with the meridians in acupuncture, or the Chi in Tai Chi or the energy martial
artists’ harness – that unseen force. …
